Description

The Lord/Sovereign of Dawn; Bondrewd the Novel, from the anime and manga series Made in Abyss.

This version is based off the avatar modelled and uploaded by ggqf (link: https://vrcmods.com/item/267-Bondrewd---The-Lord-of-Dawn ). The geometry and rigging are unchanged, and features physics bones on the coat. I replaced the material, switching from a toon shader to unity's standard shader, changed the diffuse texture slightly and added emissivity and specularity texture maps to really make the model pop.

I do not claim ownership of the character or geometry, and love the original model by ggqf, but wanted to add the specularity and emissivity to really make the model shine (I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not that pun was intentional). There are many other great avatars made by ggqf, and you should definitely check them out. I hope you like the additions I made to this model.

Yeah, I get what you mean, The top picture was the original model's coat but it's not transparent and the second picture is model you uploaded that has a transparent coat. But it's a good avatar. :)

Oh yeah, TheUnknownM, it would be really cool if the tail moved, but I didn't want to re-rig and re-weight the model, because it's a lot of work, and what was there was already really cool. The original version had the same transparencies inside the coat, so I think it's down to the 3D preview rendering the polygons from both sides, whereas game engines (such as unity, which runs VR Chat, and was what rendered that image I used) only render polygons from one side (because it means they don't have to render the opposite side of an object which you'll never see, which improves performance), which is why you can see through an avatar if you stick your face through it in VR Chat, whereas those polygons look solid from the outside. I couldn't find a way to reply to your comment directly, so I hope this suffices :)
