Description

Mantis LOD Editor is a great tool for decimating high-poly models in unity without doing any visible damage to them !!
Tutorial :
-Select your avatar's mesh (exp. "Body").
-Click on "Add component", type in "mantis" and select the editor.
-Click on "Update Mesh Data" and use the slider for decimating until your avatar reaches the perfect amount of polygons.
-Click on "Save Current Mesh" and save it to your avatar folder.
-Drag the created mesh (exp. name: Body(Clone)_Quality_85.4) onto your avatar's current mesh ( exp. "Body") and it will automatically replace them.
-Remove the editor by clicking on the gear icon with an arrow and pressing "Remove component".
-Enjoy your decimated model !

Theres a way to have 20k+ polys without a modded sdk you just have to have the meshes off by default and have a runtime animator turn them on the sdk will think there are 0 polys the meshes have to be on a game object other than the main one with the descriptor tho cause the animator on that one doesnt work on runtime for some reason

this works totally fine, ignore them. This is a good solution over the bannable modded SDK. I've tried manual decimating, and this is way easier.

So I might aswell delete this if no one cares. I mean, i was using this on some really high poly avatars and it worked just fine, so idk about you guys :/

I highly suggest NOT using this and just learn simple decimation in Blender instead. Don't use any auto-tools, just play around with the models and delete things that you won't notice otherwise and reduce poly counts on **** like buttons and emote faces. Tools will almost always break shape keys or **** the mesh in some form.

if you know how to decimate lol, the auto tool doesnt always look good.

Actually it can be used for both and it's even better than the one in blender, because it doesn't mess up the mesh badly.

bad idea, i wont use it, just use Blender instead. This is NOT for decimating Models its for decimating worlds..
